About IEA ... Interactive Education Academy (IEA) began as Dyslexia Institutes of America in 2001. As Dyslexia Institutes of America, our emphases were to diagnose and provide therapy to individuals with dyslexia. Upon the recommendation of parents, we developed into a full time private school offering services for students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities including autism, aspersers, ADD/ADHD, and others. We limit our class size to no more than 10 to 13 students. Our students receive grade and content appropriate work at a modified reading, comprehension, and instructional level. Our students graduate with a standard diploma and are prepared to go on to college, the work force, the military, and/or vocational schools.
IEA accepts the John McKay Scholarship which is granted to students in Florida who have been diagnosed with a learning disability in the public school and have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This scholarship allows students the opportunity to attend a private school that they may not otherwise be able to afford. IEA serves on the Borad of Directors of the Florida State McKay Coalition.
